Will my clients turn orange?

When used as recommended, NUDA sunless tanning products are formulated to offer a natural-looking bronzed complexion.

In order to avoid non-natural-looking results, we recommend to:

  • Avoid overapplication that can lead to brassy or orange tones. We do not recommend you to use solutions with a high percentage of DHA on fair or light skin tones to ensure natural-looking results. It’s important to evaluate how much product you apply to your client’s skin and to choose the right solution considering its DHA concentration level.
  • Recommend to your clients to avoid using bar soaps, body gels and lotions before their appointment. Residues of products on the skin can unbalance the pH of the skin, affect the application and result in an “orange” complexion.
  • Use the NUDA pH Balancing Spray before the application. This product is designed to lower the pH levels of the skin to offer a beautiful golden brown colour, and maximize your client’s result.

Are NUDA self tanning products safe for pregnant women?

DHA (dihydroxyacetone) acts only on the top layer of the skin. NUDA’s formulas are non-toxic and there is no evidence that demonstrates the harmfulness of DHA. However, each pregnancy is different, and we recommend consulting your doctor if you have any questions prior to use.

What is DHA?

DHA (dihydroxyacetone) is the active ingredient in all sunless tanning products. It is a sugar molecule which is naturally derived from the beets or the sugar cane and the fermentation of glycerine. This ingredient reacts to the amino acids on the surface of the skin to simulate a tan. The intensity of the final tan will depend on the strength of DHA contained within the product.

Does this solution protect the skin from UV rays?

NUDA sunless tanning products do not contain any UV-protective agents. Our solutions do not protect skin from being sunburned and your skin can still tan. You should always recommend your clients to apply sunscreen prior to exposing their skin to the sun.

How to get a perfect NUDA glow?

Exfoliation and moisturizing! These are the secrets for a perfect long-lasting sunless tan. We recommend you to review the preparation and maintenance advice with your clients for optimal results. 

The exfoliation of the skin is the most important step prior to a spray tan session. Advise your clients to exfoliate 2 to 4 times before their appointment with the NUDA body exfoliant and exfoliating mitt. An adequate exfoliation will allow the elimination of all dead skin cells and old tan residue. The fresher the skin cells, the longer the result will last.

It’s essential to moisturize the skin daily after a spray tan session as dry and flaky skin will slough off faster and colour will fade sooner. 

How long will it take before I get a response from my email inquiry?

We are dedicated to you and always try to respond within 24 to 48 business hours, excluding weekends and local holidays. 

How long will the result last?

On average, spray tans result last up to 10 days. However, the longevity depends on several factors, which include lifestyle habits, daily activities, and skin type and aftercare products used. Sweating excessively while sleeping or spending time in jacuzzis or saunas, taking long baths or showers on a daily basis, participating in activities that may cause excessive sweating (ex: spinning), exfoliation, hair removal, or even a lack of skin hydration may cause the product to fade away faster. 

Are there any risks?

Although spray tanning is considered a safe way to get a natural-looking complexion, some people have reported allergic reactions to the DHA components. If you suspect that your client may be allergic to DHA, you should do a test on the stomach skin of your client before performing a full application. Stomach skin is known to react quickly in the case of an allergy and is the ideal area to validate whether the skin will react to the product or not.

How long does it take for the tan to develop?

The regular solutions take 8 to 12 hours to develop before rinsing off.

The rapid solutions can be rinsed after 1 to 5 hours depending on the intensity desired. Shower 1 to 2 hours after the application to achieve a light tan, 3 to 4 hours to achieve a medium tan, 4 to 5 hours after to achieve a dark tan. The colour will fully develop 24 hours after showering.

What is the difference between the NUDA regular sunless tanning solutions and the NUDA sunless tanning rapid solutions?

The regular solutions take 8 to 12 hours to develop before rinsing off. These are perfect for clients looking to get a result right after the first shower. 

The rapid solutions are ideal for on-the-go clients looking to shower quickly after their appointment, as the tan depth is controlled by the clients and when they will shower. The tan depth is controlled by the clients and when they will shower. Recommended development period is 1 to 5 hours. Shower 1 to 2 hours after the application to achieve a light tan, 3 to 4 hours to achieve a medium tan, 4 to 5 hours to achieve a dark tan. The colour will fully develop in 24 hours after showering.

What is the approximate shelf life of the solutions?

The NUDA solutions are good for 1 year unopened if they are stored in a cold area and are not exposed to heat sources. Once opened, they can be used for up to 6 months. 

Can I mix the NUDA sunless tanning solutions together?

You can mix the NUDA regular sunless tanning solutions together to create customized shades for your clients.

For example, you can do a mix with half Latte (6 % DHA) and half Moka (9 % DHA) to reach a light medium intensity (7.5 % DHA).

What should my clients use to maintain their tan?

It’s really important to educate your clients on proper post tan care. Hydrated skin is the secret of a long-lasting tan! Your clients should moisturize and wash their skin daily with a lotion and body wash that are made with safe ingredients for their tan. Our Body Cream and Body Wash are made without alcohol, petroleum, mineral oil, sulfate, parabens and gluten to provide a smooth skin and even fading. You can suggest the Face Tan Water to maintain an even complexion, as the tan will fade more quickly on the face due to the use of makeup, serums, oils and creams. 

How much product should I use?

Less is more! You should use 50–60 mL for a full-body application. One coat is enough to get a flawless tan. You should not spray more than two coats. 

Can NUDA solutions stain clothing or sheets?

Although NUDA’s formulas have been formulated to dry quickly and to be transfer resistant, you should recommend your clients to wear loose fitting, dark clothing after the application as. If your clients are to sleep with their tan, they should wear full-length clothing. The solution is water-soluble and can easily be removed from most fabrics.

Can NUDA solutions stain hair?

We recommend you to always offer a hair net to your clients. Clients with darker hair will not see any stains on their hair. However, clients with light blonde, gray or platinum hair may notice some discolouration from the cosmetic bronzers. 

We recommend you to apply a fine layer of barrier cream, shampoo or conditioner on the hair around the face who cannot fit into the hair net to prevent any stain. 

How long should my clients wait before getting dressed?

When used as recommended, NUDA sunless tanning products are formulated to dry quickly. After the application, dry your clients with the hose. We recommend applying the NUDA finishing powder on the full body to set the tan and prevent transfers on clothing. Your clients can get dressed 5 minutes after the application.

Shipping

When will my order be shipped?

Your order will be processed and shipped within one (1) to two (2) business days following its reception. The orders placed between Friday and Sunday will be processed on Monday. 


The delivery delay will start once the package will be dispatched and the tracking number will be sent.

 

Orders are not treated during the following days:

  • Christmas Eve (December 24th);
  • Christmas day (December 25th);
  • New Years Eve (December 31st);
  • New Years (January 1st);
  • St-Jean-Baptiste day (June 24th);
  • Labour day;
  • Canadian Thanksgiving;
  • Good Friday;
  • Easter
  • Easter Monday
  • Queens’ Day.

NUDA reserves the right to change the above schedule at any given moment and without notice.

Which delivery services do you offer?

For all Canadian orders, the packages are shipped with Purolator and Canada post.

For all American orders, the packages are shipped with USPS (viaCanada Post), UPS or with DHL Express. 

What are the shipping fees?

All orders from the United States are ship with USPS (via Canada Post) or with UPS. 

Please note that signature is mandatory for delivery. 

What are the shipping fees?

Shipping fees are free for every order above $450 CAD for Canadian delivery; and $450 USD for United States delivery*. When you benefit from the free delivery for your order, the standard delivery delay applies.

*Based on the amount after promotion, before taxes and shipping. 

Expedition fees are based on different factors such as:

  • The weight of the order;

  • The volume of the order;

  • The distance between the NUDA headquarters in Quebec and the sipping address;

  • The shipping option.

Important : As your order is shipped from our distribution centre in Canada, your order may be subject to import duties and taxes. NUDA is not liable for any import duties or taxes charged. We do not accept a return if an order has been qualified for import taxes.

When will I receive my order?

Your order will be processed and shipped within one (1) to two (2) business days following payment. All orders received from Friday to Sunday will be processed on the following Monday. 

Delivery delay starts from the moment you receive your shipping confirmation email. This email will also provide you with your tracking number to follow your package (your tracking number will only be valid after 24 to 48 hours).


Québec/Ontario

Standard: 2 to 5 business days with Purolator or Canada Post.

Express: 1 to 3 business days with Purolator or Canada Post. 


Others Canadian Province

Standard: 2 to 5 business days with Canada Post. 

Express: 4 to 10 business days with Canada Post. 


United States of America

Standard: 5 to 12 business days with USPS (via Canada Post).

Express: 4 to 7 business days with UPS. 


* Additional delays associated with customs may apply.

*Please note that the delay may vary during promotion period (Black Friday and Boxing Day), during Christmas time and during possible uncontrollable events (such as the Covid Pandemic). Due to a possible strike period from the Postal Service, the delay may be longer than expected. 

* NUDA releases itself from all responsibility in regard to problems that may come up during the shipment delay or any lost or stolen orders if you requested they be delivered without a signature. The customer that chooses to receive an unsigned order does so at his own risk.

Important: Please note that no Taxes and  Customs fees are paid directly via your transaction on our website if you order with a shipping address to the United States. As your order will be shipped from our distribution center in Canada, your order may be subject to import duties and taxes. NUDA is not liable for any import duties or taxes charged. We do not accept returns if an order has qualified for import taxes.

Can you ship my order to a postal locker?

NUDA does not ship orders to postal lockers. The orders are only shipped and delivered to commercial or residential addresses. It is possible that your package be delivered to the postal box link to your address.

Can I modify the delivery address?

NUDA will be able to modify the delivery address if the order hasn’t been shipped.

How can I track my order?

Once your order will be dispatched, you will receive a delivery tracking number by email.  The tracking number will only be active after 24 to 48 hours. For other requests regarding your orders, please contact us at support@nuda.ca.

Why is there a signature required?

NUDA always requires a signature upon delivery to avoid packaging theft. We are also requesting a signature in order to ensure the products are not left outside in really warm or cold weather which can affect the quality of the products. If you are not home when the delivery attempts, you will have to pick up your package at the courier facility. 

Vocal signature is accepted.

What happens if my package has been returned back to NUDA?

Following the failure to claim a package it will be sent back to our warehouse. At the package delivery, we will send you an email and proceed to the refund of the item(s). The shipping fees are non-refundable.

Returns and Refunds

What is the return policy?

All returns must be pre-approved by NUDA and the shipping fees for returning products are at the customer’s charge. If you want to return products or a full order, you must contact us at support@nuda.ca. A return address will then be provided as well as a return authorization number. The products returned without a valid authorization number will be refused and returned to you at your expense. 

Sealed and unused products can be returned in the thirty (30) days following the purchase date. All returned products must be in their original packaging. Products that have been altered, opened or damaged will not be accepted.

When will I receive my refund?

All returns that have been correctly authorized will be refunded directly on your credit card or PayPal. The refund must be done on the same payment method that was used to purchase the products being returned. Allow us five (5) to seven (7) workday delays upon delivery of the returned product(s) to proceed to the refund. Please note there is a 24 to 48 hours delay before the return to be processed on your credit card. 

What do I do if there is an error in my order?

Please contact the NUDA team within forty-eight (48) hours following the delivery of the order at support@nuda.ca. NUDA will then communicate with you in order to modify your order and establish afferent terms. 

How may I signal a missing product from my order?

We apologize if an item is missing from your order. To start the replacement process, please contact the NUDA team at support@nuda.ca. You need to include images of the items you have received. Your request can be declined for insufficient information.

We will review your scanned package weight and compare a mock-up of the same package at our warehouse. If the scanned weight is less than our mock-up package, we are then able to confirm the items are genuinely missing in which we can complete the replacement process immediately.

How may I signal the delivery of damaged or defective merchandise?

We apologize if your package has been damaged upon delivery. If you receive an order composed of certain damaged products, you must contact us at support@nuda.ca and join one or more pictures of the damaged products as well as the packaging. 

How to cancel an order?

An order can be cancelled before being shipped. A complete refund will be transmitted within twenty-four (24) to seventy two (72) business hours. Once the order has been shipped, the transaction is considered complete. All returns are to be submitted to our return policy clauses. If the return is accepted, the refund will be done once we’ve received the returned product(s).

What will happen if my order is declined?

A declined order especially due to an invalid shipping address is subjected to delivery and return to NUDA warehouse. Once received, the order will be refunded.

Which products are considered final sale?

  • The NUDA Robe.
  • The brushes.
  • Sale items.
  • Any opened, used or damaged products.
  • Products sold in events or congress.
